Q: How did you get into fashion modeling?

I started by chance, I met a designer at a music video shoot who later asked me if I would be interested in modeling her designs on runways, I had zero experience at the time but I wanted to try something new!

Q: How have the last 12 months been for you?

12 months ago was when I first started and overall it has been hectic but fun. Looking back I have grown and learnt a lot but I’m still on my journey so I look forward to what the future holds for me.

Q: Who inspires you?

God.

Q: Which modern day fashion designers or fashion icons do you look up to?

My favorite fashion icons would be Amber Rose, Rocsi Diaz & Antonia Wright.

Q: Do you prefer to shoot on location or in the studio?

Definitely the studio -controlled temperatures!

Q: Do you have any interesting stories about a particular photo shoot, or a casting you’d like to share?

I did an outdoor fashion show where we had to catwalk in the streets of Sloane Square in the pouring rain. The main runway was on small pebbles, which was difficult to catwalk whilst wearing heels! I didn’t fall/slip but unfortunately this wasn’t the case for some other models that day.

Q: How do you prepare for a fashion shoot or show?

I always pack all essentials in my suitcase a day before, and try and keep my self-presentable and well-groomed i.e. clean hair, nails, etc.

Q: Do you have a favourite photograph?

Yes! A picture from a photo shoot I did for Italian designer, Bruno Mandaro for his new collection.

Q: Who is your favourite photographer?

His name is John Farrar, he won best photographer of they year in both 2010 & 2011 and was also a judge at a beauty pageant I competed in last year (Miss West Africa UK 2012), he never fails to shoot excellent beauty images.

Q: What does fashion mean to you?

It is you, it can be a reflection of inner moods expressed with clothes!

Q: How would you define your personal style?

My personal style is versatile and usually depends on the occasion, weather and/or my mood but lately I only dress for the weekends and occasions.

Q: Where are you based?

I am based I South Kilburn, London.

Q: What’s it like being where you’re from?

Growing up there were many social issues, but I guess if you’re able to withstand it you can survive anywhere. Today, South Kilburn is a vibrant and urban multicultural community.

Q: What’s been the highlight of your career to date?

I’ve had so many highlights but one that stood out to me was being top 3 selected out of 100 models at the Afro Model Awards considering I had never taken part in any professional catwalk training lessons at the time! Not to mention seeing myself on television and meeting new people along the way.

Q: What are you hoping to achieve over the next 12 months?

Although my height betrays me, I would love to walk at Africa Fashion Week 2014.

Q: What do you do to relax?

I browse the web or sleep.

99.9% of the music I listen to is Afrobeats. My top 5 tracks right now are:

  • Burna Boy -- Dem no know
  • Brymo -- Down
  • 9ice -- Ike kan
  • Rayce -- Jack Sparrow

Q: Do you have any interesting hobbies?

Nothing interesting

Q: If you could give a little piece of advice for new or aspiring models what would it be?

Maintain a good attitude -you never know who is watching you. Be involved in anything and everything and always do background research before attending a job/casting.
