The Bride Show Dubai was held between the 4th – 7th April in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and is further evidence of Dubai’s claim to be one of the most vibrant upcoming fashion hubs on the planet. Now in its 15th year, the event has grown to be the largest and most prestigious bridal and fashion event in the Middle East. This year there were over 300 incredibly talented exhibitors showcasing their selections of haute couture fashion, wedding gowns, Jalabiyas and Abayas.

Highlights from the Bride Show Dubai 2011
Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the Bride Show are the fashion shows where upcoming designers have an opportunity to showcase their latest creations to a crowd of industry insiders, consumers, retailers and an estimated worldwide audience of 4.45 million. At Urbanity Chic we’ve been fortunate enough to receive some incredible news and images from the fashion show events and are really keen to share with you.

Julea Domani by Zeena Zaki
Zeena Zaki’s fashion show was definitely one of Bride Show Dubai’s highlights. Zeena Zaki is an Iraqi haute couture fashion designer, based in Dubai, who draws on both Edwardian and Victorian fashion trends to create something with worldwide commercial appeal. Her fashion line, Julea Domani, headlined the event on Saturday evening.

At the Bride Show some of Romania’s greatest fashion companies and creative designers combine to become RD&C. RD&C includes Carmen Ormensian, Irina Schrotter, Miau, Cristian Samfira, Ducessa, Laure Olteanu, Lena Criveanu, Mirela Diaconu, Adriana Agostini, Venera Arapu, Dorin Negrau, Hanas, Charleroi and Ersa Atelier.

Cecilia Couture is an upcoming fashion line from Dubai that creates rich, innovative, timeless couture fashion. At Urbanity Chic we were very impressed with their collection at the fashion show and are looking forward with interest as their label continues to grow.
