Curaçao is an island to the to South of the Venezuelan peninsula, forming part of the Lesser Antilles along with Aruba and Bonaire. Between the 21st and 25thMay 2012 some of fashion’s leading designers, retailers, stylists and industry influencers will be attending the Hyatt Regency Curaçao Golf Resort, Spa and Marina to showcase their creative talent in the Curaçao Fashion Week.
Curaçao’s rich heritage and culture, partnered with exquisite beaches, stunning architecture, and multicultural diversity will make this an ideal setting to showcase some of the most creative and dynamic people in the fashion industry. Sonja Wanda
Sonja is a successful commercial model who is currently based in Norway but was born in Sudan and will be attending the Curaçao fashion week. She has worked in London, New York, Paris and Milan. Custo – Barcelona
Custo Barcelona was founded by two brothers, Custo and David Dalmau in the early 80’s after they completed a round the world trip to many different countries. Their journey allowed them to discover not only new landscapes but also the most varied of artistic, cultural and philosophical expressions.
Their cosmopolitan fashion brand draws upon many influencers. Amongst the things they found to be most worthy of interest were the typically Californian style they saw on their travels which didn’t exist in Spain at that time and has continued to flourish over the last 25 years.
