Chelsea Arena is an upcoming fashion model from Melbourne, Australia. When we first discovered Chelsea’s modeling portfolio we were really keen to complete an interview so that we could share her work, interests and experience with you. Read on to discover what fashion means to Chelsea, how she prepares for fashion shoot and what she does to relax when not working.

Q: How did you get into fashion modeling?
I was found by an agency when I was 12.
Q: How was 2010 for you?
2010 was a great year for me to find out what I really wanted to do with life and find out who I really was. It was also the year I gain enough confidence to start my own online clothing store, and to get back into modeling.
Q: Who inspires you?
My Mum and Dad.
Q: Do you prefer to shoot on location or in the studio?
Although majority of my shoots have been in a studio. I really do enjoy the time I get to spend on the different locations at shoots.
Q: How do you prepare for a fashion shoot or show?
The night before I usually get prepared for a photo shoot or show. I make sure my hair is clean, my skin looks fresh, clean (and moisturized!) and I also make sure my nails are done!

Q: Do you have a favourite photograph?
Yes, one of my own favourite photos is a head shot part of the “Water Series” photo shoot I shot with the amazing Michelle Grace Hunder (photographer).
Q: What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is a way to explore what is happening in your life and share it with the world around you. It allows you to be yourself, and show your individuality.
Q: How would you define your personal style?
I wear whatever makes me comfortable. I do not have a particular style, I dress appropriately to my curvy body shape.
Q: Where are you based?
Melbourne, Australia.
Q: What are you hoping to achieve in 2011?
My 2011 News Years resolution was to begin my Clothing store, now Chelsique Clothing is up and running on the internet and doing really well!

Beyonce.
Q: Do you have interesting hobbies?
My online Clothing store.
Q: If you could give a little piece of advice for new models or aspiring models what would it be?
Don’t let the Modeling industry scare you. If you really think you what it takes to be a successful model, go out there and get started. I have met friendliest people within the industry!
Q: What motivates you to do what you do?
To be able to one day say to people ” I finally achieved my goal, I am doing what I have always imagined myself doing” motivates me more than anything!
