Belinda Kelly is a fashion and editorial model from Brisbane Australia. Despite currently completing her studies she has still started to forge a successful career in the modeling industry and we were delighted when she agreed to complete a Spotlight Interview for Urbanity Chic. Read on to find out which modern day fashion designer Belinda looks up to, how she got into fashion modeling and what she’s hoping to achieve in 2011.
Q: How did you get into fashion modeling?
In 2002 I was the winner of the Australia Yellowglen Bubbly Girl Search and won a modeling contract.

Busy with acting and academic work.
Q: Who inspires you?

Q: Do you prefer to shoot on location or in the studio?

Shooting in a laundromat and being compared to a desperate housewife.
Q: How do you prepare for a fashion shoot or show?
Visualise the desired outcome.

Reflective and forward focused.

Brisbane is a small country town with a wealth of opportunities.
Q: What’s been the highlight of your career to date?
Presenting a US pilot in 2010.
Q: What are you hoping to achieve in 2011?
Health and prosperity.
Q: What do you do to relax?
I like to read.
Q: What songs are on your ipod at the moment?
Very few songs. I prefer watching interesting videos on youtube currently.
Q: Do you have interesting hobbies?
Academic study… I’m not sure if that’s interesting.. 🙂
Q: If you could give a little piece of advice for new models or aspiring models what would it be?
Find your niche and stick with it.
Q: What motivates you to do what you do?
I love the outcomes.
